This Privacy Policy explains how Cineflix ("Cineflix", "we", "us") handles personal data when you use the Cineflix Player app (phone, Android TV, Fire Stick and Windows), the Cineflix Player Pro app for TVs (Fire TV with Fire OS or Vega OS, LG TVs with webOS, Samsung TVs with Tizen, Roku, and Apple TV), the Web Player (cineflixplayer.pro) and the website cineflixapp.top (together, the "Services"). It follows the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, the "LGPD").
1. What Cineflix is
Cineflix is a media player. The channels, movies and series shown in it come from the playlist or server that you provide, which is the responsibility of your provider. The Cineflix Player app also shows public domain works from the Internet Archive (archive.org).
2. Data we process
- Access data for your playlist: username, password and server address, M3U link, activation code or device ID, used to sign in to your account and load the content.
- Device identifier: the device ID in Cineflix Player; in Cineflix Player Pro for TVs, a random code created by the app the first time it opens; in the browser, a random code stored in a cookie. It is used to link activation, trial and subscription to your device and to deliver notices and support replies.
- Trial and purchase data: name, phone number (WhatsApp), chosen plan, Pix payment status, and activation and expiration dates.
- Profiles and preferences: profile name, avatar or color, kids profile and parental control PIN, language, theme and player settings.
- What you watch: favorites, "continue watching", history and the copy of the catalog are stored on the device or browser itself. With sync across devices turned on (only for active paid subscriptions), progress, favorites, watched titles and profiles are also stored on our server, linked to a code generated from your account, so they appear on your other devices (phone, computer, browser and TV). To confirm that the subscription is paid and active, the playlist username and password pass through our server over a secure connection, and it checks the account in our records or with your provider; the password is not stored with the synced data. You can turn it off in Settings › Sync across devices (on phones, Android TV and Fire Stick, under General preferences) or, in Cineflix Player Pro for TVs, in Account › Sync across devices.
- Smart search: the text you type in smart search and in recommendation requests goes through our server to an artificial intelligence provider, which returns the answer. We do not store this text in your account.
- Notifications: a device notification identifier, used to send notices, program reminders and the scores of the games you chose to follow. Cineflix Player Pro for TVs does not use this identifier: it fetches notices from our server with the device code and the playlist username, and the scores of the games you follow only appear while the app is open.
- Logins saved in the Web Player: if you choose to save a login, it is stored encrypted on our server, linked to your browser.
- Messages you send: problem reports, suggestions, support requests and account deletion requests, with date, IP address, app version and type of browser or device.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, date and time of access, device and system type, app version, crash reports and usage statistics of the app's screens and features (without the content address and without passwords). In Cineflix Player for phones, Android TV and Fire Stick, you can turn off statistics and reports in Settings › General preferences › Send usage and error data. Cineflix Player Pro for TVs does not send usage statistics or crash reports.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos or credit card data. Pix payments are processed by the payment institution.
3. How we use the data
- To sign in to your account and load and play the content of your playlist;
- To activate the app, grant trials, renew plans and confirm payments;
- To send notices about trial, access, expiration and payment, including by WhatsApp and app notifications;
- To keep your progress, favorites and profiles the same across your devices, when sync is turned on;
- To answer your messages, provide support and handle account deletion requests;
- To keep the Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse (for example, a limit of trials per device and reCAPTCHA verification);
- To fix errors and improve the Services;
- To show extra information about titles, such as cover, synopsis, cast, trailer and where to watch, to show game scores and schedules in the sports tab, and to answer smart search.
Our legal bases are the performance of a contract (art. 7, V, of the LGPD), our legitimate interest in keeping the Services secure and working (art. 7, IX), compliance with a legal obligation (art. 7, II) and, where applicable, your consent (art. 7, I), which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your data. We share only what is necessary with:
- Your content provider: receives your access data when the player fetches channels, movies and series;
- The reseller responsible for your account, if any, for activation and support;
- Payment institutions (such as Mercado Pago, Asaas and PushinPay), to create and confirm Pix payments;
- Technology providers: hosting (Hostinger), network and video delivery (Cloudflare), Google (Firebase for crash reports, statistics and notifications; reCAPTCHA; YouTube for trailers; AdMob, if the app shows ads; the Google Play version does not show ads), artificial intelligence providers for smart search (such as Google Gemini, Anthropic and OpenAI, which receive only the search text), OneSignal (notifications), WhatsApp (messages), The Movie Database – TMDB (title information), Internet Archive (public domain works) and subtitle services;
- ESPN: the scores and schedules in the sports tab come from ESPN's public API. The request is made by the device itself or, when scores through our server are turned on (and always in the Web Player), by our server. It does not carry data about your account, your playlist or your profiles; when the request and the team logo images are loaded by the device, ESPN receives its IP address, as with any internet access;
- Public authorities, when required by law or court order.
Some of these providers are located outside Brazil. In these cases, the international transfer follows art. 33 of the LGPD.
5. Cookies and data stored on the device
The Web Player uses necessary cookies to keep your session and remember the browser code and the language, and stores the catalog, favorites, progress and settings in the browser. We do not use advertising cookies in the Web Player. You can delete this data in your browser settings or in Settings › Clear catalog cache; when you sign out, the stored catalog is deleted. Fonts and libraries of the website come from file delivery services (Google Fonts, jsDelivr, unpkg and cdnjs), which receive your IP address to deliver them.
In Cineflix Player, the data is stored on the device itself and is not included in Google's automatic backup. When you sign out, the account's data is deleted from the device.
In Cineflix Player Pro for TVs, playlists, passwords, profiles, favorites and progress are stored on the TV or device itself. When you sign out of the playlists, the playlists, passwords and access are deleted; profiles, favorites and progress remain stored until you uninstall the app or clear its data in the TV settings.
6. How long we keep data
We keep the data while your account, trial or plan is active and, after that, for as long as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and prevent fraud. Access logs may be kept for 6 months, as required by the Brazilian Internet Civil Rights Framework (Marco Civil da Internet, Law No. 12,965/2014). What is stored on your device stays there until you delete it, sign out or uninstall the app.
7. Security
We use secure connections (HTTPS), store logins saved in the Web Player encrypted and limit internal access to the data. No system is completely secure: if an incident occurs that may cause relevant risk or harm, we will notify you and the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), as required by law.
8. Your rights and account deletion
Under the LGPD, you can request: confirmation that we process your data and access to it; correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data or data processed in breach of the law; portability; information about who we share data with; deletion of data processed with your consent and withdrawal of that consent. You can also file a complaint with the ANPD.
To delete your account and the data linked to it: in the Cineflix Player app (phone, Android TV and Fire Stick), go to Settings › Delete my account; in the Cineflix Player Pro app for TVs, go to Account › Privacy and account › Delete my account; or, from any device (including if you use the Web Player or Windows), use the page dashci.online/account-delete-request. When the request is made in the app, the data synced across devices is deleted immediately. The account is closed within 7 days of the request. Payment records may be kept for the period required by law.
For other requests or privacy questions, contact us through the app's support channels or the Contact Us page. We may ask for information to confirm that the request is yours.
9. Children and adolescents
The Services are not directed at children. The content depends on your provider's playlist and may include adult material: use the kids profile and the parental control PIN. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if this happens, we will delete it as soon as we become aware.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update, and important changes will be announced in the Services.
